It's been worth playing since launch with 341 hours into the game, There is plenty of stuff to do you just need to look around it's not all about cutting down trees and delivering them to the lumberyard there are plenty of side jobs and other stuff you can do, If there wasn't I wouldn't have the amount of time I do in the game i'd be off playing something else

there really isnt, all you do is cut down trees, take them to the mill for processing, very slowly load them all up for drying, then sell them for a pissy $2100 for 9 crates, there is no other way of making money besides that and its not worth it to play the ame until they give us an actual way of making money

Steam says I have over 460 hours so I can say there is a lot to do. You either don't have a real interest in this type of game or just haven't figured out how to play it yet. Also seems you have no patience for early access games so maybe you should have passed on the game until it's fully released.

So by all means tell me what there is to do besides what i just said? You cut logs, process them, dry the planks, then sell the planks and repeat. i played a bunch of hours but learned very fast its worth waiting until there are better things to use the planks on and build stuff with them to sell like the furniture they are going to eventually add. I bought this game because this is the type of game i love, i just didnt expect it to be THIS empty and with such small progression for a lot of work.

I don't know if you have played some of the quests yet. There are daily quests, but most importantly story related missions to get to know the community and help them out or the one about paying off your uncle. Furthermore there was the cooking and herbalism update - you now can collect more herbs (besides mushrooms and berries) and you can cook more recipes and especially learn how to make lotion and potions which can make you faster e.g. or you just sell them.

The other big update was about regrowth and gardening, but yes, you have to play some time to pay off the uncle and progress, in order to unlock the questlines and the machines for replanting trees. However, you can start growing flowers and also make money with selling them or save them for your later potential wife.

Yes, it's hard work and progression takes time in the game. I am sure, it's not for everyone. Especially the new Ponsse machines and paying off the debt to your uncle takes some serious work.

I'm thinking of just waiting until furniture is available to build so the extreme grind is actually worth the grind. id rather not spend 200 hours just paying off my uncle and spending an hour driving each way just to get trees because i still cant afford anything else.

There are lots of ways to make money. I just sold over 60k euros worth of cooked meals, potions and lotions. That was the only way I was able to buy the cobra. I go to all the merchants every morning and buy everything they have to cook with.

It's pretty addictive. I'm only on chapter 2. I have really no idea how this series goes but it is fun.

I agree without raising animals, You chase sheep which take forever for seeds. I am not playing till they get the store back. I drive everywhere for products and they offer very few eggs are hard to find. They keep updating but if you see we can't grow trees till lumberyard paid off. I love the game but all the getting stuck in my yard and the non raising animals I went to farming sim 19 where everything I want in a game and the frozen quests impossible. daily quests

No, it's not.
The game, together with 'farmers dynasty' (same developers) looks like the attempt to profit from the fame of the 'farming simulator' by splitting the idea into two games - farming and lumbering.
But the farming simulator 19 is cheaper and much better than the two dynasty games (in added price).

I'm not sure that's true as I just paid off uncle on 28 August. Since you get off the bus on
July 2nd, it took me less than two months to own the business. I did not do any mowing or transport jobs and only a few sheep quests for herbs and seeds and a few repair jobs for early cash. I did make almost daily runs to five markets to buy food items to cook and sell. The rest was logging and selling all wood products. Chip board, wet and dry planks and bark. I'm not sure mowing lawns would have helped me any. I could be wrong.

Took me a little over 100 hours to play this out as I worked my character in game till late every night (9 - 11) which made the days last longer both in-game and in real time.

That's interesting, because dry planks need 10 ingame days to dry (10% per day). So I am confused by '.. less than two months to own the business...'.
And if You only know 5 of the 9 markets ( or 8, if You use the nearest market for selling goods) You should make only half of the money I make with cooking.
Profit of cooking (without lotions and potions, therefore You need herbs) is about 500 to 1000 Euro, depends of the amount of honey You have to buy.
And You won't get any herbs as reward for the sheep dailies.
And You won't get that task on the first ingame day.
