I don't think we know how long a planted tree takes. If the dev says 2-3 years in RL does that also mean 2-3 ingame years? Dunno.
in RL a tree takes longer.
however, that is still long enough.
I don't know how long an ingame day is, maybe half an hour, if you don't go to bed "too early"
and iirc the winter is skipped in this game (like in FD) so you have 180 days per year, still makes 90 hours gaming without taking a weeks rest...
again makes me wish for other ways of FF time.
In-game year - depends on your gameplay.
RL - depends on the planet you are, Earth usually 365, 5 hours, 48 mins + couple of seconds.
Tree growth in-game - as stated.
RL tree growth - depends on species, fit for cutting between 30 years (poplar) and 180 years (oak)
;-)
Then it will be a pleasure to play the game rather than to be frustrated because the in-game time take so long to pass and you may become bored and then rather stop playing the game.. That how I see it.
Keep that r, you may need it in dire times :-D
