How do I remove the 100 wood planks from the tools section of my inventory?
I clicked E on a crate of wood planks and now it appears to be in my inventory. How do I get rid of it and put it back on the ground so I can forklift it into the dryer?

I don't believe you can manually remove them. If you pick up a skid of some other building materials though it will be replaced.

Go to another Farmer and try to sell the Palletes in your Inventory maybe that will work...i had the same problem after a few days and i have sell it by a Farmer or in a Shop :)

But if you only want to put it out of your Inventory that will not work, when you have picked up Wood-Planks or another one, Merck say it, you can't Remove them :)

Regards

Additionally you can always upgrade one of you own structures, or the aunt & uncles home site. And you could also use up the planks on some of the other standard repair jobs.

In the past I was able to sell them to the stores. This may still be an option??

I ended up just selling them as I didn't know if upgrading the farm made any real difference.

Yes upgrading does improve things.
  • The barn upgraded will increase the output of the livestock.
  • The sawmill allows changing from sawing logs to just debarking logs.
  • The dryer does better once its upgraded.
  • The greenhouse is more efficient.
  • So upgrading buildings is usually well worth the effort.

I'm not really sure about all other points you mentioned, but what I know is that there is no benefit if you upgrade the sawmill. You'll be able to change from sawing to debarking when you completely repaired the sawmill (main building) without the need to upgrade the building with new planks.
As for the barn I think this is just a guess from your side since we don't know anything about this fact until the animals returned into the game.

THough if I could make the dryer more efficient I'd be VERY happy! Same with the greenhouse.

I'm also not really sure about that point. With the greenhouse I noticed no difference if the greenhouse is only repaired or if it's completely renovated. Tomatos still need about 24 days to be ready for harvest. I can't say anything about the dryer since I didn't renovate it.

You are correct about the repairing being required for the sawmill controls.

I am basing the barn on what was done in Farmer's Dynasty.

I think that with the greenhouse if you renovate it, you don't have to water as much.
