Why do you want to prepare even more? I mean, 1000 pallets is quite a load of wood you have there. What about starting to dry it or use it for renovations before gathering even more?
or do you mean you left it in the quere of the sawmilll?
I'd rather guess that there might be a limit in the queue.
Maybe it's similar to Farmer's Dynasty in its early versions, your inventory was limited to 999 (if I remember right) items of each kind back then.
Been sleeping weeks away to sell the dry pallets but that kind of takes the fun out of the game. When you sleep for a week you lose honey collection and all daily quests. And logging is the mainstay of the game but what do you do with the backlog? Can't wait for the updates to roll out.
