Dropping the Logs off doesnt give me money?

I started the Game and made some basic quests. I collected some Logs and drove them with my new old log trailer and my new old Tractor to the shore at a drop of spot. I unloaded the Logs and then I waited, but I did not receive any money.
Do I need to do something first at the Sawmill?

you have to drop the in water near sawmill or were are some spots.

they swim to sawmill and after they get out as long blocks or planks.

Blocks and planks give money looks like just cut trees possible not never try it to sell some.

Yea, I did drop them at the designated Spot(s). But did not get any money yet.

ok than drive to the other side of the mill there are the Blocks in a little store. you can pick up again and sell they in south west of the map.

You need to get the quest and repair the Saw Mill first. Then when the logs float downstream to the mill they will be automatically picked up and debarked. it is then up to you to either sell them as is (wet) or dry them for planks. You also get wood chips you can sell or send to your chipboard building to make chipboard.

Any logs you drop at the various log dumps on the map will float down to your own sawmill & will be processed depending on how you have the control stand set. Either to just debark & put in the for sale bin, or debarked & ran through the saws to be made into planks. The control stand can only be changed once you fully repair the sawmill.

Once you have your debarked logs or the planks you then need to load them up in the appropriate vehicle & haul them to the large mill complex to the southwest bottom of the map. Inside there is a spot you can drive too that will give you a prompt to sell.

Ohhhhhh, I am quite at the start of the game, so I maybe dont "have an sawmill" yet?!

Your own sawmill, which is right next to your farm, is only for processing the logs & associated byproducts (wood chips, planks, etc..).

Initially all your buildings are in run-down conditions, & need repairs. So at the beginning when you drop the logs into the mill pond, they run up through the sawmill, get debarked, & then routed into the "For Sale" bin.

Once you repair your sawmill, you can then toggle the control stand, & switch the sawmill to cut the logs to planks. Note: you can then take the debarked logs in the "For Sale" bin back around, drop them once again into the mill pond, & they will this time run through the mill & be cut into planks.

At that stage you will have "Wet" planks. These need to be dried in the dryers. Which will give you the best price once sold. Again you have to repair this building to get it to work properly.

Wood chips are collected in one of the silos. They will be automatically routed to the Chipboard building, & once it is repaired they will be made into chipboards. Another product you can sell.

To actually sell your products, you have to haul them to the large mill complex that is to the southwest of the farms location. This mill is the major buyer of wood products & gives the best price. You could also sell the planks & chipboard skids/pallets to the Builders Supply building to the northeast of the farm, but they will not give you as much per skid/pallet.
