One other thing, that I just though of. Have you cut the log to the shorter lengths?? If you look at the log with the chainsaw active & press/hold the ES button (RMB default), it will show you the cutoff symbols. On some trees the very top section has a short piece that makes it too long. This gets cut off, & disappears, but then you can pickup the log.
This is another example where a screenshot may have shortened the solution finding time, since it is very hard to convey with just text what is really happening.
- What type of controller are you using?
- Have you checked the keybindings?
- Have you fully trimmed branches, & cut the tree to the proper lengths?
Maybe providing a screenshot would assist in debugging your problem. You need to remove the branches AND cut the tree into logs (most times 3 logs from 1 tree). Once cut can be picked up. Also note, if a log will not highlight to pickup, walk along it with chainsaw (big end to small) and you may get a cut log option, do that and the tip gets cut off and the log will load.
