Take advantage of Steam's "Search this topic" box to the right of the forums. If you do your search in the main forums page it will usually find related items for you. You might have to try different wording, but it usually does a good job.

I can't switch to 'Upgrade' mode with the rebuild tool to start building the summer homes and finish James' quest. Is there a construction tool I'm missing? I've already got my planks on-site.

you go up to the stack and press enter, it should bring up the nail gun and board. Then you click on the hammers just as you would a repair.

For Planks, once you look at the crate of planks & pick them up, as mentioned above, then you should be able to press F3, which is default for planks. Otherwise if you press TAB, then check the TOOLS tab, you should be able to see in your inventory a stack of the planks. You can also select them in that screen to activate them.

Thanks much for the replies. Yeah, I figured it out finally before seeing the replies here. It would be a help to players a little tip of which key to press on what item to use a new skill at the time the new skill is acquired. Got James' quest done, but not as profitable as it could have been since I used partially bought planks because he stated I needed dried planks, my milled planks still needed 8 days of drying, and he said he needed the job done within two weeks.

So, I went bought 2000 EUR of dried planks and got halfway done, then rested a week and used some of my 'mostly' dry planks to finish. Now I know though that wet or dry planks don't matter for now for those quests, but that could change overnight with the next update.

Also, there is future jobs with James, so the expense of buying the planks, can be offset by those future jobs.

Another thing to consider, is that the time to complete the jobs, it is not necessarily to be done right away. Many players take advantage of this quest to borrow James flatbed truck to take care of some of their own tasks, such as selling OSB (chip board) crates, or moving other crates around.

Fuel

Don't forget to refuel your vehicles (including the forklifts), since if you run out of fuel, you will have to call the tow truck, & pay a service fee. And if similar to Farmer's Dynasty, you will only get enough fuel to travel to the refueling point at the workshop.

Check fuel levels while pressing the ES, when in the vehicle.

Others option is to revert to a previous save state. Hence the reason many state to save often, & to cycle through multiple save slots.

Anyone know how to track available quests? I've seen in others videos that it shows at a black question mark on the map but I don't get that. I'm at a point where there is nothing else to complete but pay off the mill, yet the vids I see they do quests I haven't done yet. I travel to that area to see if the quest pops up but with no luck. I try to talk to everyone in the area of the quest but they shun me like I'm some kind of outcast. Any ideas?

Any quests that you have found or gotten notices of, should display on the upper left of the map screen. You can click on any one of them to activate that specific quest. Else, you may just have to travel around the map to open up any more quests

You may need to go talk to Uncle Charles so that you can progress to Chapter 2 which should rename your current quest to read "Business Partners". Once that takes place, you can then do the "Daily Quests", which are seen on the map as an exclamation mark in a black, upside-down teardrop shape.

How do you mean "disappears"? Are they not in your inventory? Did you sell them? Double check that the key bindings are still assigned to the various tools. You can easily change them by clicking on the tools & pressing the function key you want to have them assigned too.

Otherwise you can buy another set of tools at any of the little stores around the map.

südwestlich in dem anderen Sägewerk reinfahren dann hast über rechte Maustaste die stationen mit Preisen

Ein neuer Trecker, zumindest der mit blaue mit 144 PS und ein neuer Holzanhänger sind echt hilfreich. Es können mehr Bäume schneller transportiert werden. Achtet beim Trecker auf die Getriebeeinstellung!
