  1. Save game often & have multiple saves. This will keep you from having to redo a lot of work.
  2. The game is EA (Early Access). Be patient & the game will improve with time. But unfortunately there will be bugs - that is just the nature of the beast.
  3. Many things have not been fully added to the game at this time:
    • Livestock - you can buy them, & every morning it will say there is items to collect, but you cannot at this time.
      • Currently you can not buy livestock since the developers removed the Agriculture Store. This is also the location for purchasing seeds, & fertilizer.
    • No cooking or pantry.
    • Some of the upgrades are very, very hard to complete. Most of these bugs have been reported. UPDATE: Repair & upgrades have been fixed.
    • Limited number of new equipment can be purchased a this time.
    • Fish are just "fish", but will be changed to specific types of fish.
    • Many of the NPC's will not respond to attempts to talk to them.
    • No mechanical option for the workshop yet.
    • Painting of new vehicles only at this time.
  4. Some NPC's will walk through fences, which you cannot. This usually not an issue, except for some quests where you have to follow the NPC closely. Again bug reported.
  5. Exiting vehicles can be difficult sometimes. The hit-boxes for many items are large, & block areas, such as roads, or buildings. So just park vehicle (driver side) away from problem areas, & watch for the E prompt to exit.
  6. Don't leave the tractor or trailer on the Log dump pad, else it will be sunk in ground at next start.
  7. Don't toss logs in river at any old place - unless you want permanent logs sitting in those areas. Use the designated log dumps.
    • Currently the only working log dump pad is the one located at your own sawmill. All the other log dump pad locations are not yet fully added to the game.
  8. Scaffolding can be added to many locations, even inside some of the buildings. So use them to get those tricky "hammers".
  9. Switching from repair (or upgrading) to any other tool (such as scaffolding) will cause loss of mats, & reset the partially completed sections. Place scaffolding all around then use repair (F2) or upgrade (F3 - or TAB).
  10. Many "hammer" symbols can be very tricky to find. Some will be on either side of section you are repairing. So if cannot complete a section, then try to find another side to look at it from. UPDATE: many of the problem "hammers" have been adjusted by the developers.
    • Also, sometimes just moving back or forth (or even sideways) will trigger the "hammer" to display.
    • Many sections you have to jump towards the symbol, & click on it in mid air to complete. Hopefully these will be better located in the future.
    • For the above reason may be better to switch controls to "Hold instead of push, when doing these parkour type fixing procedures.
  11. Watch your inventory of materials so not to waste excessively.
    • Not as critical for repairing (F2), as when upgrading (F3 or TAB), but still can be frustrating.
    • Each "hammer" takes 2 planks from a skid (thus 50 repairs per skid). Many sections require 4 "hammers" to complete, others take 3. But watch if you are down low, since if you fix 3 of the 4 "hammers", but run out of materials, then the section reverts back to unfinished. And you do NOT receive any materials back.
    • And currently there is no way to combine partial skids together.
    • Doors often only take 2 hammers, window trim same, some posts & other sections only require 1 hammer. So use these to finish off extra planks.
  12. Treasure chests have all been empty so far in testing. Most likely not fully added to game yet.
I hope this list provides some assistance to all players. There is likely many things that I am forgetting at this time, but I will try to add them as I remember them.

one thing i would like to add at the current stage of the game is not to finnish James 2 house building quest,, that way you will have a flatbed to transport your plank on or els you would have to do that with the forklift 1 pallet at a time

Hi, if you carry on the quest for Lily (something about debt), it leads to second similar quest for James, and you have the truck again. It actually carried the lefover planks I left on it while finishing the first quest.

EDIT: OK, apparently he takes the truck back after job is finished.

Yes but both of the early jobs for James, he lets you use the trucks. So I take advantage of that to move my skids, sell some extras, & you could even pre-position some of the materials.

Naming forum titles
It would be helpful to everyone if players who create new forum postings try to name them clearly, & concise to what the subject is. This will greatly assist other players to search & find solutions that other players have already discovered. As it is, there are some titles that are totally useless for searching.

Also take advantage of the sub-forums, located to the lower right. This will better organize the various forums, making it much easier for others to find relevant answers.

Thanx a lot for all these informations. It helped me a lot and answered several questions, e.g. cooking, animals...

how do i get rid of scaffolding? lol
Merck May 1, 2020 @ 3:46pm
Press F4 to activate the scaffolding & then look at the narrow ends of the scaffolding. It should either give you a prompt or highlight. But either way pressing E will pick up the scaffolding.

How to choose how to process logs in sawmill
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2081084734
Use the control stand to select which way the logs will be processed. E toggles the setting. Use Engineer's Sight (RMB - default) to see the current setting.

NOTE: You first have to repair the sawmill building before you will be able to change the settings. So initially the logs will all go to the Sale bin. You can always pull those logs out & take them back to the log dump pad. From there they will once again travel through the mill & now be cut.

How do I sell logs? I dropped them off at the store in the log bin but I didn't seem to register that they bought them. Any tips?

Selling logs at the Mill complex
Once at the large mill complex if you drive in, there is a spot where you will receive a prompt.

This also works for the flatbed truck with skids/pallets of planks or OSB (Oriented Strand Boards).

Points "Drop Logs" didn't work. Only work near my lumber mill ?
(Logs freeze, didn't swimming like near lumber mill)
Quests are disappear? My last quest was Lily debt ( with local developer who rent us his truck).....
Merck May 2, 2020 @ 11:18am
So you didn't receive the second message as the above pictures show, once you pressed ENTER??

Or are you trying to drop logs into the river?? I have found that if you drop the logs into the river at random locations that they will then be stuck there. You have to use the log dump points that are located around the map.

I have not had any quests disappear yet, but they do occasionally get switched priorities. If you look at the list of quests in the upper left of the screen, the current active is larger than the others. You can click on any one of them to change the priorities.
