But you may want to wait just a bit more, & finish a few more quests. Once you fix the sawmill you can change the setting to saw the logs instead of just storing them like currently setup. Once they cut you will get skids of planks, which when dried can be used to upgrade the buildings, or for other quests. Plus, selling the dried planks gets way more funds, than just debarked logs.
You can just dump those debarked logs back into the mill pond, & run them through the sawmill once again - once the sawmill is upgraded. & then cut them to planks.
One of the early quests, your uncle asks you to fix the mill. Once done there is a control stand up by the log cradle that will allow you to switch the settings, so that the logs will be cut, instead of stored.
