Drying wood planks
Hi, I tried to dry wood planks in the wood dryer but they stay at 89 % humidity. Is it something I forgot to do ? all buildings are in good shape

Have you repaired the dryer yet? All the buildings are in a "decayed" state of repair, & need fixing. If you use Engineer's Sight (RMB), it will display information about the items. Once repaired it will dry the planks.

In its current state, it just takes a lot longer to dry the wood, so give it some more time. Use ES to look at the skids & find their status.

Thanks will do. Think I was impatient. Will try again

Yeah once repaired, the planks will dry out pretty good. But it all does take a little bit of time.

Take advantage of the extra time to complete some of the quests. They are well worth it in the beginning.

i cannot get the Fork Truck to lift a pallet to even put into the dryer. i guess i leave them in the sun or something.

Are you getting the prompt to pick up the skid with the forklift? Enter is the default for PC. The skid should be highlighted in green when able to pickup (or drop). Sometimes the forks are raised up just a bit, so drop them all the way down & you should be able to pickup the skid (after pressing Enter). To get the skid into the dyer (there are two levels) - just raise the forks up a little bit to get onto the bottom level. Raise the forks all the way to get them to the top level. 4 skids per section.

NOTE: Currently there are issues getting the skids off the upper level with the forklift - the devs know about this issue. What I do is to use the skid trailer to grab them off this level (either when have use of one during the various quests or later when purchase one). Else I use those upper level skids as upgrade planks & select them with my character (by pressing E). This way I can still use the upper level skid slots.

Anyone know at what % that the wood turns into dried? Or is it just assumed at a certain % that it just 'Becomes' dried? Or does any % dried makes it dried?

Shows 0% when dry.

oof

Doesn't usually take very long - that is if you have repaired the dryer building. If not, then will take a bit longer.

I have the building fully repaired (not new wood) But i've slept through the nights three or four times and I'm only at 60%

All the dryer building? & the skids are placed inside the dryer units? If so they should go pretty fast. I will check the next load I place in them.

Ya, I just skipped a week and they were all good to go. Who knows.

For me it see like its not realy good work All is fix and i put it into the Dryer Units, sleep one Night come backe and my Skids are on 95% damp. So one Night and only 5 % less? Wow thats realy slow or not?

Hey
Same here, dryer's fully repaired, I placed some skids at 100% humidity. Two days have passed and I am at 90%. Is this the correct behaviour or is there a button somewhere I need to push ?
