Logs stuck in river.

I cut a tree near my house and just dumped the logs in the river nearby. They don't move towards the sawmill and I can't carry them out of the water cos the Pick Log does not appear when I am near the middle.

Did you drop them at the log drop area closest to the mill because that is really the only place that works at this point. Even though there are other log drop points on the map, only the one nearest the mill works.

Also I've read that there is a 60/60 rule that hunger and sleep must both be above 60 to pick up a log. If your too tired or hungry your guy does not have the strength to perform the task.

the river in the ford sometimes catches the log, but often does not, better not try it.

it seems the water surface covers the interaction point of the log, so it may be hard to lift it again.

I once succeeded by standing ON the log and looking down.
it catapulted me 20km above the map, was a great fall.
afterwards the log was in the mill transport, but my player camera was tied to it.
was an interesting journey into the saw...
had to warp to my pickup to get out again.

A tad bit of a necro, but yea the only dump point that seems to let the logs flow is the one by the mill which is silly given how far you have to travel for some of the forests, and that tiny tractor you start with only gets up to(speed wise) 23, but at least there is a bigger tractor in game after you get a large enough sum to buy it (ranges from 32000,00 to 40000,00 last time I looked maybe off a little) but you will also need a different trailer to go with it for the logs as I don't think the tiny one works with the big tractors. hopefully they fix the log dump sites to where they are actually usable as right now they are pointless, and I wouldn't put one in by hand...last time I tried that the log disappeared into the ground lmao.

This is still early in the games development, & things will be added in time. So currently the only working log drop point is at your mill. The other locations on the map are placeholders for future log dump points.

Wow! I just spent 2 hours harvesting a field and using one of the alternate dump points to have NO longs arrive at my mill. I was not aware only the mill dump spot works. This mess will make me quit playing this game. So frustrating!!

They take a while to reach the mill ......I did some recently on the west side of the map and it took a while "in game for them to show up"

I have not tried all the spots but I know at least some other points work. I have used 3 of the marked spots on the map with no issue. Always had logs by next morning (unless put in river in early AM hours). It was back in 2020 that things did not work. Should see it in one of the update/patch notes.
