I just bought the museum for $22M. What did it do?

I did the same thing and it doesn't seem to do anything as far as advancing goes. You get fame like before except no option to send them in for shows. You do get the option to buy another gallery for 50m but I'm not sure that really does anything yet.

It does a lot. Having a lot of museums is important to get lots of fame

You now get fame per second, it is listed on top... before you needed to get a row complete (to get noticeable fame), and trade it in, which blocked it for several hours... although the amount /sec seems small, it is faster than before, so buy as many Museums as possible and fill them with pics.

Buying the second and third museum is fine because you get more gallery space so you get fame faster. The first museum I don't understand because you can send paintings there before you buy it.

Now that I've progressed more, having more than one museum is worth it, but with the constant restarting, it's hard to keep it up. It's also difficult to gauge when it is worth it. To me, it's definitely pointless unless you have the school option opened up and you're able to get the second museum stocked up quickly.

Well I usually have 9 Museums every time full of paintings. It's very useful to get fame.
