how to improve employee productivity?

not sure how to improve the yellow bar for the employee called productivity. i have tried giving them extra days off, but not sure if that helps. any ideas?

you can talk to your employees to get the productivity up

Make sure when you're deciding their pay it is in the green never in the yellow and they will keep being productive. Also they will then ask for raises less often as well.
