Your feedback is really useful to us because it shows we need to put more attention into FBXs with animations. Thank you very much - we will look into this situation.
(And thanks for the positive feedback regarding snapping. Any suggestions for where you'd like to see us take this sort of feature in the future?)
What could be nice but feels like too much to ask would be object alignment, which can be obviously done with several steps of snapping into a reference plane. But since this alignment is quite common use case for snapping, it would be nice to have it. (What you guys shipped this Thursday is just amazing already)

☝Also, one quick question, what is this black ball with gizmos in it? Couldn't figure it out since yesterday hahaha. GIF of that ball is above
The gizmo you asked in the video is a "rotation snap gizmo". It can be used to select an object and set its orientation as the "rotation snap" target. So if you grab the gizmo, point the ray to an object "B" in the world, and trigger select, then object "A" which is already grabbed in your right hand will be aligned to B's rotation. Selecting the "space" will reset the rotation snap target to the world coordinate system (which was the default behavior before).
We are working on add some tooltips to explain it better. Meanwhile please let us know if you have suggestions on how to make such new features more clear in the future.
Damn just tried this, this is incredibly useful for more dynamic layout holy molly.....😳
