Hmm, this may be due to the fact that steam is 32 bit and deposits itself in a 32 bit compatable folder on win7 instead of the normal program files folder. Not sure why steam wouldn't be able to launch 64 bit programs though. Tried relocating the files to see what would happen but still no dice. I still get identical output log to what @ripping burnouts posted.

Oh, and it also passed virus scan and is present on the allowed list for my firewall.
i dont think it has anything to do with 32bit but i can see because usually you can run 64bit games on a 32 bit system but its gonna be pretty unstable and your gonna drop frames and crash alot i think its something to do with windows 10 and the game its self just not liking each other i am willing to try it on a 32 bit system and a second system all together to test it as i have all the parts in the world to build pcs

Yes, the app requires internet to communicate with Steam's API. It's probably not the internet issue, but something else.... it just that the log file was complaining about it so wanted to check that first. Still trying to figure out what's going on. Hope Unity will have some insights.
thinking about it because it just dawned on me is there a certain exe or something that you need to run it like i remeber getting games back then that neded you to download a certain engine in order to play it

it may be a problem that someone has stated before and it might be because its not getting a data file from steam quoted by this line
Player data archive not found at `C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/SinVR/SinVR_Data/data.unity3d`, using local filesystem

We are still trying to figure out why the app exits right away. We don't think it's the missing Data.unity3d because the app works without any issues on 99% of the computers and that file doesn't exist in any of them.
The log file is also very different since it always starts with the GPU instantiate and your log files doesn't even have these lines there which is very odd.
Can you try the following?
1. Launch steam.exe and right click on SinVR for properties.
2. in General Tab, click the Set launch option....
3. try any of the following launch options
-force-d3d9
or
-force-d3d11
or
-force-opengl

this will try to force the app to launch with a specific rendering engine. Not sure if it will help but maybe we will learn something.
We are still waiting for hopefully an answer from Unity and we are planing to upgrade our Unity version to hopefully solve this problem.
Thanks

no luck and still same errorim starting to wonder if its driver issues like the game not getting along with the driver installed for my 780 before i do anything im gonna go to an older driver and see if i can get it to launch because as it stands the one from the site nor the steam version wants to launch
SVR  [developer] Jan 8, 2019 @ 12:09am
it could be a driver issue. Make sure to do a restore point before updating the drivers :)
One of the machine we use for testing is a Win 7 (64 bit , service pack 1) with GTX 970 and the driver version is 399.07 and it's working perfectly.

sadly it did not work i went to a driver from september of 2018 and had no luck and i do not feel like downloading a driver from a 3rd party website so im kinda out of ideas other than putting a test rig together and trying it that way but i dont have any other hardware that can even come close to running the game

Have you tried downloading the app from our website? It's not what we recommend you do since we prefer to use the Steam version of the app , but for the sake of figuring out how to fix this bug it would be interesting to see if you can launch our non-steam app. Don't purchase anything, just download the free app and try running it. Thanks.

I have the same issue unfortunately. I bought all the DLC for this game and was excited to play but it refuses to launch.

I've opted into the beta branch and am sending you my log file. Here are my specs as well:
Windows 10 64 bit
Intel Core i7 950 @ 3.07ghz CPU (4 cores, 8 cores logical)
Nvidia GTX 680 4gb vram GPU
16gb DDR3 ram

Tried all those and they made no difference either.

its kind of wierd because my specs and your specs are nearly identical im running on the same x58 platform but my specs are slightly better but i dont think hardware is an issue im starting to believe its something to do with windows as weve tried alot of things

Rippin, please try the app from our website that is slightly different... I'd like to know if it works or if we get a better log file that will help us figure out the issue. Thanks.
