How?? 20000 points using only superman and superwhips?

One Wetlands, Stage 8 "Birdman" one of the skill challenges is to "Score over 20,000 points using only superman and superwhips" i can't tell you how many times i've gone through this course only doing supermans and superwhips and still nothing when i'm over 20,000.. No spins or flips? any idea?
