Audio issue possible fix

Hello,
I have this weird bug where there is literally no audio coming out of my speakers or headphones when playing this game, it is quite interesting because a somewhat similar but different bug at the same time happens with journey where I have noticed this srange sound bug when I started playing this game. There is this strange buzzing , static like noise. It's really distracting and makes an otherwise incredibly audio experiunce from this game somewhat unplayable for me at the moment. How can I fix it please? Thank You

EDIT: Ok so I somehow managed to fix it myself to some extent, it's still not perfect, but at least the sound and music is there currently albeit some of the sound effects seem to be cut off, especially when Iam flying through those little flowers that pop up after I run through a larger batch of flowers....

You need to run the game as administrator first and foremoest, but before that you have to set the compatibility to Windows 7, I have win 8.1 so it's a bit weird, but it works to some extent.

How I wish there were no issues for this kind of game that is more than 10 years old :(

I found that holding down the left mouse key from the start and hold and hold - you get the sound
