The Pinball Wizard Achievement is The Most Difficult Time I Have Had With a Video Game

The game is utter luck. There is no strategy available to guarantee you even get above 2000. I have had at least 40% of the balls ball shoot down the sides into the hole without even the opportunity to use the flippers.

The others 50% of the time the shot instantly bounces off the nearest bumper straight down the middle, with no chance of recovery.

That magic 10% I'll have the game of my life, getting 9,000 points with one ball, followed by a combination of the other two possibilities.

I love all this game has to offer, but why in all that lives was this added...

Oh and correction, just had a round where all 4 balls went down the sides immediately… having a great time!

it's built so horribly. insane how anyone thought 15k was anywhere near a fair score for how poorly implemented this pinball system is.

The pinball achievement is the hardest one in the game. I got it after... 30-40 attempts, I think?

Tip: you can press B to bump the machine and make the ball go up or down! Sometimes the ball can get out of the machine if you bump it near the bottom, though...

The pinball minigame needs physics clean up, almost half of all rounds are auto lost because the ball goes straight into the drain without being able to be hit by the flippers. Also there should be a way to play pinball again the same day if you get over 5000 points since you need to run-through the entire ending to re-play any of the games in the new-game. (Also a way to restart the day or skip the ending would be a huge time save)

I was able to get the achievement, here's a helpful trick. If you get over 5000 but under 15000, do NOT click the next prompt after the curtains fall. Close the game and relaunch it and you be able to play again.

a good tactic is to hit the ball when its at the very end of the flippers
right before they fall out of the area

I spent 6 hours casually playing this game and doing 13 of the 14 achievements.

So far, this pinball achievement has taken up an hour of my time quick reloading the game repeatedly trying for a score 3x higher than what the game arbitrarily asks of you for the story. And the odds of any 1 of your 4 balls going straight into the gutter without going anywhere near your flippers is RIDICULOUS. One round, ALL FOUR OF MY BALLS WENT STRAIGHT TO THE GUTTER. I couldn't hit any of them. That's not normal for pinball games, right? The fact that you can't replay the minigame if you get >5000 makes repeating this without Alt-F4ing out stupid. I'm no pinball aficionado but the RNG on this minigame is infuriating.

Okay so it took me an hour and a half of concentrated retrying to get the achievement. I timed each run- about 1:30 to quit the game, restart, tap through the start screen, talk to Joannie, start the minigame, and then lose my 4th ball or get too many gutterballs. It is sheer luck and a bit of good timing with the flippers, but it's possible. This pinball minigame is just busted as hell and not fun. And a trial to restart.

The card one is also a nightmare, the ending becomes so obnoxious once youve spam clicked through it 100 times just because the old lady wont spawn on the bus. Man 100%ing this game sucks so much its not worth it
