How to play with friends

I am brand new to Steam. Just got the Canasta 3D game and want to play with my sister, in California. How do we do it?

she will also need a steam account and her own copy of canasta 3D- from there, you will both need to be online and friends with each other on steam, then there is an option for multiplayer and she can join you through that option.

Okay. Will see if we can manage it. We both have Steam and the Canasta game. We tried to figure it out a little while ago. Will try again.

Hi Carol. Did you have any luck I've been trying to play with my dad today. We feel like we've tried everything but it is hopeless. If I can't find out soon I'll be asking Steam for my money back.

ONLINE-PLAY STEP-BY-STEP

1) Click "New Game" > "Internet Game" (both)

2) Doubleclick "Standard Room" (both)

3) One player: click "open Game" > "OK"

4) Other player: click "Refresh" or wait few seconds
- opened game then appears
- doubleclick (or click and "Join Game")

Now define settings, activate "Ready to start", and click "Start".


POSSIBLE PROBLEMS / TROUBLESHOOT

- connection or game blocked by antivirus or firewall
solution1: try at least once again
solution2: deactivate antivirus and try again
