Solo mode is impossible at any level
Has anyone hit the target score in the solo game option?

I've just noticed that the games I've tried are either impossible or so statically unlikely that they might as well be impossible.

Describe your impossible Solo game and let's get them to fix it!

Examples:

I had to score 80 points in a game with 6 points for color variety horizontally, and 4 points for shade variety vertically. If I hit both of those, I would have 44 points - even if I got an additional 24 points for having 6's in my color, I would only have 68 points.

In another game I had to score 64 points. If I got all the horizontal rows with shade variety, I get 20 points. I also had a goal of color sets. There are five different colors so if I get four of each color that adds 16 points and if my chosen color is all sixes that adds 24 points bringing my total to 60. If instead I maximize my color while not ruining my shade variety, I can get alternating rows of 6,5,4 and 6,5, I could have a maximum of 76 - but color and shade constraints (not to mention the odds of drawing that many dice in my color) made that impossible.

Huge part of the solo play is to try not to put the high dice in the top row so that the target score is as low as possible. Honestly, that is the reason why I don't like that mode, but I definitely think it is not at all impossible to win :)

Where did you get the idea that the target score is a function of the values in the top row? If so do you know the function?

I think @DrHades is saying the dice you discard (don't use). E.g. if you roll 6, 6, 1, 1 and play the two 6's, the target score becomes 2 (1 + 1). Repeat for 10 rounds. I've not confirmed it, but seems that way after some quick testing.

I have played probably about 60+ rounds solo now and beat it ONCE. Barely. All my attempts have been on the easiest setting and I try to keep the top bar score low- but it is near impossible to beat. They definitely need to do something. I have also noticed that the running pliers tool is not able to be used at all in single player.

I have also noticed that it doesn't count all the dice? when one of the goals is say 3's and 4's at the end, it doesn't count them all it always seems to short you by 2 or 3 points

It's matched pairs - that is, sets of exactly one 3 and exactly one 4. Or to put it another, mathematically equivalent way, it's how many 3s you use, or how many 4s, whichever is less. It's not just every 3 or 4.

Agree that the Solo Mode rules result in <1% probability of beating the target even if you use the easiest (5 tool) setting, choose the window with the lowest difficulty rating, intentionally optimize ONE private objective, intentionally optimize the public objective with the greatest point value, AND use ALL five tools to reduce the die on the round track. Using this strategy, I've managed to win three times this week.

Suggestions for Solo Mode rule revision to increase probability of beating target to <20%:
1. Award player 1 point for each degree of difficulty on window played, AND
2. Award points for achieved value in BOTH private objectives.
It’s hard but not impossible:

If the solo mode in this is anything like the physical board game (I don't own the app, but have thought about buying it), then I completely agree that it is super hard.

I severely dislike the solo rules for Sagrada for two reasons. First reason is the difficulty (especially if you have objectives that require low shade values to score). It always feels like the score to beat is very high unless you get lucky.

The second reason is that it encourages a different tactic to choosing dice that go against the regular playing style of the game. You are encouraged to claim the high value dice so that you have a lower score to beat. This is counter-intuitive to the nature of the game where you need to worry about adjacency of your numbers, the required shade values on the window, and shade values that might be required for the objectives. When I play this game solo, it doesn't feel like the same game as when playing multiplayer and that frustrates me.

Personally, on the physical version I always play with both personal objectives and it's challenging but doable. Unfortunately, I won't have that option here
