how can you play root online ?

Hello, I new to this steam stuff and I wonder how to play root online with other player ?

Simply go to "Online Play" in-game and you'll see a list of available games there. You can host a game by selecting "Create game", and can password it if you like.

There are two game modes - live and async.

In live everyone has 3 (or maybe 5) minutes to take their turn.

In async everyone has 3 days to take their turn, and can "Save & exit" the game, and will get notified via Steam or Android (or somehow on the Switch I guess), once it is their turn (or they are attacked and can ambush etc).

I'm thinking about buying this game. Is online multiplayer active? I see low steam players numbers, but I'm aware there is cross platform with mobiles (and Switch?)

Yes, online multiplayer is active. You have to create an email from the game. You can share your game with 5 members with family sharing features I think... But I don't know about cross platform stuff.

You can also join the Woodland Warriors on discord, and find people ready to play with you there. They do both league and casual games.

Maybe you need to confirm your email? Never had an issue logging in, except when I couldn't remember my password!

I think you have to create a new account from the menu of the game.
