Never say never though.
The physical expansion, does in fact, support 6 players. Which is what the 2 factions that come with it are more designed for, especially the riverfolk company
It's kind of a problem, especially if the faction further down the line is like the Eyrie or (currently paper only) Moles who want very specific suits and can get easily locked out. It unfortunately just ends up being another system that requires the players to balance themselves. All that being said, the Riverfolk can still economically interact with the players further down the line by positioning troops for hire in places that they're expected to fight in, or always returning their units when burning funds over those of the players closer in the turn order.
