New Factions: does everyone need the new expansion to play the new content

I mostly want to know if, when I play with my 3 other friends, we need to ALL purchase the new expansion to be able to play the new factions, or just the host of the game is enough.

Hello Kindredblades! A player who has the expansion will have access to the new factions and the new Vagabonds. Other players will be able to join their games and vice versa, but players who don't own the expansion will only have access to the starting 4 factions and standard Vagabond.
