Am I stuck with Dominance card?

i was WA and inadvertently selected a dominance card. first, no way back out of that right? and second, once that's selected that's your ONLY way to victory, correct? and accumulating VP to 30 is no longer an option.

i can't recall so let me ask, how did i get the dominance card into play? in the upper right (i think the icon where the Items are listed) it shows the dominance cards and says CLAIM below them. i did not press CLAIM to get the card. so how did i get it? you can use the Dominance card suit to craft with but that doesn't give you the card does it? is CLAIM the only way you get them? how do they get into that CLAIM section, used by someone to craft with only and then rather than discarded goes up in the CLAIM's section? sorry about all the questions but not real clear on how i would acquire a Dominance card without pressing CLAIM. thanks to anyone who can explain this to me!

Yes, according to the rules, Dominance cards are permanent and are the only way to win once accepted by your faction. If you selected it by accident, perhaps the devs can add a "are you sure" sort of message after playing one, before it is applied.

Dominance cards are just like all the other regular cards - you draw them from the deck into your hand, and you can use them once you have at least 10 victory points. The only difference is that when someone discards Dominance card, it goes into the public section instead of discard pile. Then all players can claim it to their hand by spending a card of matching suit, and later use it as usual.

So you don't have to claim it in order to get it - you have probably just drawn it, or some other player gave it to you as a result of Outrage (since you were playing WA). I recommend looking up Law of Root in case of any questions - it's rather comprehensive and the game follows it pretty faithfully in most cases.

Yeah the games a little funny about playing cards from your hand, do i drag them, double click? atleast with dominance cards there needs to be a "are you sure you want to play this, there is no going back"
