Have you isntalled Ubisoft connect? I had the same issue and the game only works if you are logged in on steam and ubisoft connect!

I am using Ubisoft connect. I didnt get an information. I press "play" and "sync cloud" and after sync game didnt start.

I have the same problem. Windows 11, logged in to steam and ubisoft, tried to launch from ubisoft but no go. Just nothing happens.

I found my problem, it was windows security blocking Settlers7r.exe to write to documents.

how do you clear that? I want check it.

If you have ransomware protection enabled then thats it. Check "block history" and find Settlers7r.exe and click "allow on device"

In settings/privacy & security/Windows security and click on "virus & threat protection" and there is ransomware protection, click on "manage ransomware protection" and from there "block history" :)

found it. but Ransomware protection was deactivated :O
