If anything though it should be fixed by a reinstall
the FarClipPlaneminmax-values are initialized at the start of every map and they are set by default.
For a higher camera distance you need a higher maxvalue, which is set by this command in the mapscript
Display.SetFarClipPlaneMinAndMax(_min, _max) with values like Display.SetFarClipPlaneMinAndMax(0, 28000). That should work for 99% of the maps
