The house(s) are mostly if you have a lot of silver to throw away on generating some free ammo and bandages.
Getting the truck can provide the help you need to reduce gas, larger tank gas, move faster to your mission and provide more...camo...(I do not understand why a truck has camo has more then the bike does -_- the logic is stupid).
Either way pick your death pills
ChaoticGamer is correct that the house isn't worth buying. Now, if the ammo generated were rockets, energy cells, grenades, or even advanced ammo types, then it might be worthwhile, but regular 7.62mm and 5.56mm ammo is very common (I have almost 10k of each type, despite exclusively using automatic 5.56x45mm weapons from the end of Springfield onward) as drops from regular zombies.
And since the next update will probably add some new weapons, save your silver for more useful things like Open World base upgrades and new weapons.
Also note that the "Nothing" perk gives you an extra perk point when you unlock it ;).
I imagined the perk NOTHING, but as it was also possible that it was rarely nothing I have not taken it
The house is a extremely good investment in the long run because it generates unlimited amounts of bandages and ammo of whatever kind.
VERY useful. It saves you money in the long run.
