sell bucket?

I got shovels when i dig places i find on treasure maps. I sold those shovels, and later regretted it because higher levels of treasure maps on next cities didn't give shovels near the digging site, and I had to buy a shovel from the trader at a higher price.
So, when I got this bucket from Sprinfield's farm fire extinguishing mission, I have not sold it to the trader. But I have never used this bucket on anything, and I am near finishing the game in the Northtown.
So, should I sell it? Do anyone know what the bucket is used on?
