How do you get thoses coins from the events in open world ??

hi, i made me 1st event in open world, event was showing 9K coins, killed every zombies, opened everything (0% left), in the time given, but just went back with me inventory & no coins at all.

It's like summed up between scraps you get and ammo, supplies you find, At least i think it's like this...

Yes, the Silver value you can see is the worthy amount you can collect from zones. But the value is the items main price what worth if you would buy them from vendor without trading skill. Not the amount you can sell them. If you wish to sell the collected items it worth around 1/4 Silver of what you can see on screen counting down.

Silver Coins are easy, Gold coins what you will miss alot on higher level if you wish to upgrade weapons or buy some Shop weapons what available for gold.

If there is Gas remain, it worth 80 on the location's value. Actually it will only worth 20 when selling (25% original value).

To make Silver Coins reliably, you need to have proper preparation:
1) Do not overlevel, zombies can scale based on that, and your weapon won't improve by itself easily.

2) Sharpshooter for headshot streak rewards, Zombie Hunter super perk (300 Gold) for 10 coins on killing every 10 zombies.

3) You should have Scavager II and other proper Perks (Lv 30 is good enough)

4) Try not waste too much time on killing. Location value will be reducing over time (Radio super perk will tell you that). Zombies in OW also have lower drop rate.

5) Avoid group with QB if u can. QB is too agile and u could waste too many ammo. However kill if he could threaten ur loot zone.

6) Beware of "invisible spawn point". This is where u could waste ur ammo if you choose to engage not efficiently. Such as fighting Pukers unnecessarily.

7) Loot scraps and sell to merchant before head to next Point of Interest.

8) Comvert 6 Gas Remains and 2 Water into 30L Gas. You sell 170 more coins and save Trunk space.

9) Stockpile stackable items in Trunk, some MRE, Water, etc. Trade Post offer will help you in Coins, and going out explore can earn missing Water, Canned Food, Gas Remain easily.

atm am lvl43, bought every houses in springfield & City of sun & i want to lvl up me open world city ^^, that's many many coins.

I guess i was loosing some time & ammo with killing every zombies, but as events provide many gas (made 210L yesterday), i use ACE "rocket day" loop quest in Springfield to refill with every ammo for 2x 3L gas (just try to use barrils to get rid of the 3 zombie waves for free ammo).

Another one question, what does provide the radio perk sell buy the trainer in the OW town plz ?? bought the -50% zombie detection perk atm here

Radio perk is actually kind of a joke. It is basically translate the % into numbers, and no need keep open Map to check.
When you loot a Gas Remain (80) it doesn't mean the number show on top right corner will deduct exactly 80. It can be deceiving.
It also won't help when you are looting soon-to-expire location, since everything u open is likely to be empty anyway.

It is more of a convenience perk instead of actual useful ones.

Springfield Big House only worth bcs of the Chemical table. City of the Sun one is kind of scam xD
It still takes fuel and need maxing the Chem table to be effective. It is more on chem supplies instead of coin farming, bcs it takes long time (1 month) to get back the investment via selling.

Maxed Chem Table: 50 000
Assume 1 day can claim 7.
50000 / (7 * 150) > 47 daysa

Coins are not too hard bcs of Trade Post, extra fuel selling and looting Scraos. I have Radio level 4 which provides enough locations to loot after sleeping hours. It's just spend smart and not too overleveling. When I was in fresh City of the Sun after getting the buggy, I went back to Open World with the newly 2 powerful Assault Rifle. It makes my grinding easier bcs zombies are not scaled too high beyond my weapon power, and I will plan to do that again on my 2nd run.

If you buy all the Houses (4) and upgrade everything inside them, then it give you 1000 Silver every 2 hour with selling all ammos and bandages it offer (but for this you must login every 2 hour to grab all of them because it is the max can provide). Also you can gain 300 Silver on every 2h30min if you sell those pills from Chemical table.

Btw @Geekman, if I recall well, made a very detailed guide how to get alot of Silver with Random encounters you can proc between Woodland and Springfield.
Sadly I dont remember what forum thread he made it, hope he will link it here. :)

Just sell Outdoorsman skill book for the extra coins. No need to learn it and attend every Random you could face. One can choose not to finish certain one to create more "safe-to-loot locker", such as not talking to Weird Dude to catch Peacock and delay the 2500 coins rewards. But it isn't necessary.

To be precise, Amno & Med Tables cost 30 000 coins to max.
If within 16 non-sleeping hours can claim 8 times, it will be 248 x 8 = 1984 per day, still takes 15+ Days to get back investment from 1 set of 2 tables.

If without Buggy/better vehicle/OP unlimited fuel mode, fuel cost is another consideration.

Good to know before buying.

Sure for location expire time in events, but 2nd one paramters i privilege here is map size, as small one can be done very quickly (with "am a zombie perk" (-50% detection radius for zombies) & powerfull weapons)

Bought Bren gun yesterday, 45k silver coins (30+31 dmg / 0,15 speed), awesome upgrade, no more trouble until u farm ammos ^^. bought the buggy too.

35k coins up this morning with every events done, gas is flewing in trunk, aiming for anti rad shoes to be done with the anti-rad set & a new shotgun weapon.

Well I long forgot how much Silver cost all the houses and upgrades. I only know that looting all ammo what is 800 5.56 or 7.62 worth 400 Silver and 16 Bandages what is worth 600 Silver. Also there are those pill what you can grab on every 2h30min worth 150 each and there is two house can only provide that so 300 Silver overal.
Yeah it take alot of time to even give you back your investment, but after that it will be Silver maker.
