It will take a couple of years if you do it in legit way, I guess.

In perfect condition (which will never happen but hypothetically) you can buy 4 treasure maps each 3 hours. Which makes 32 treasure maps a day. It will take more than 2 months do dig out all 2000 treasures. (if you have tons of gold, then you can reset shops, but I doubt anyone will pay hips of real money for gold in order to reset shops).

So lets speak practice. I check the game 2 or 3 times a day. Cruise the towns and visit shops. I don't have a free gas, so sometimes it's hard to make around a map more than 3 times a day. So the maximum treasure maps I had got so far in one single day was 4. Not every day, just couple of times. When I get 2, i consider myself lucky. So let's say, I am getting 4 each day. It takes 500 days.

It takes less time for safes, but this time you can't go for a treasure hunt, because if you farm safes, you ll need gas. You can craft gas in Open World location, but then you have to spend a lot of time actually playing this game.

So, imo, if there is anyone who has those achievements unlocked, they most likely did it with SAM.

LOL. I can't, but seem like the protagonist can do this.

Also there is a random encounter with digging. Better to ignore these two Achi.

If you know how that could work but not everyone knows how or wants to use cheat engine
since most want to get them legal, however if you know what you are doing it is not needed.(just saying)

The more you know about the game and the more you play it, the faster you can and will earn them.

it depends on the player how fast they earn them since any gamer that plays the game fully legal and with the right knowledge can earn them to a few Hours to a few months of playing the game from start to end if you play it right just like any other game out there that should go without saying.

No 2 players will have the 100% same game experience most likely since some players will have free gas and some will not.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I do own the unlimited free gas Lately been testing a trick i learned that you can earn some of the achievements faster then people may think while keeping it fully legal.

works best once you get to northtown.(more places to farm achievements)
1.save some maps/lockpicks and 15k+ ammo for the weapons you use and exit the game.
2.backup your savegame 1 time only for this trick to work.
3.restore the savegame files and then go in game and use all maps you saved and kill all zombies before digging the treasure up.
4.look for safes to lock pick as much you can.
5.restore your save game and repeat steps 3 and 4 over and over till you earn
all achievements that are for kills/treasures /safes and any others you want to earn.

A trick for safes is to farm safes in the ace missions in city of the sun or northtown.
1.lockpick any safes you find.
2.abandon the mission right after lockpicking it or abandon the mission if you do not find any safes to lockpick.
3.repeat steps 1-2 over and over.

Update: this trick may not work for safes since they stop spawning, i do not know if it is a bug or what.

Doing the above with unlimited gas will make it easier to earn achievements for this game overtime.

it took me 3-4 months to save 25 maps for each area to test this easy trick which is 100 maps total.
100 maps takes at most an 1-2hrs to use them which in my case at least 100 maps useable per per time i restore the files to repeat using the trick.
I spend up to 16 hours a day just on having fun on getting kills/treasures alone can be gain like crazy doing this easy trick. Your numbers may be different.
The trick works best for to gain more kills/treasures.

Note: it is best to do the trick with savegames that have all the missions done.

There is other fully legal tricks that can be used to earn these achievements and pretty fast too.

I agree the Achievements should be easier to earn and no matter how you look at it when they reach a point of not being fun or take so long to earn, something does need to change.

This achievements are just pure insane. There you need like atleast 1000 hour gameplay to get theses or maybe faster if u nonstop travelling between zones to proc random encounters with safes there and more luckily the digging encounter. I cant even belive those 0,5% players who achieved theses are real and if yes then it without any cheat.

I'm not going to say everyone earns them legal ways but it is impossible to not earn them if you play enough just like other games if you play the game right and you have enough playtime.

do what i do which is a legal trick which i farm gold coins by open world trade offers and the free goldcoins to help me save about 100 maps overtime (25 for each area) which took me 3-4 months to save https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2120461311 then backup the savegame and then go in game and use all maps then restore the savegame with all the maps saved i'm sure you get the idea, doing that will restore the maps and they still count towards the achievements, this will gain ya 100 treasures and a ton of kills each time. took me an average of 1-2 hours to use them all without looking for safes looking for safes takes longer.

The achievements goes by stats in the save game but resetting/restoring your savegame does not reset the achievements stats, near everything we do counts in the achievements stats one way or another till they are earned. really i could careless about earning them but wanted to show it can be done and gives me more of a reason to even play the game since all of my missions are done on my main savegame.
(I have more than 4 savegames backed up mostly because of resetting my game more than 10 times)

You can play through the game then reset it and just repeat over and over this would make you earn them sooner or later it does depend on how fast you are at play through the game fully though.

I'm not saying people should use that but it does work for crappy Achievements till something changes.

When it comes to achievements "don't judge a book by its cover" something i learned long ago. you can earn achievements in steams offline mode and go online and all achievements you earned while in offline mode will unlock at the same time, try it for yourself and you will understand. so really it is best to earn achievements while in online mode unless you do not care about it.

Here are some fully legal exploits that some people use without knowing them.
we exploit the game everytime we reset the trade timers with goldcoins.
Every time we reset our savegame we multiplier our achievements stats in many ways.
spending real money on perk/skill points is an exploit in some ways.
spending real money on weapons is an exploit in some ways.
spending real money on trunk/backpack space is an exploit in some ways.
spending real money on goldcoins is an exploit in some ways.

I agree these Achievements should be easier to earn and no matter how you look at it when they reach a point of not being fun or take so long to earn, something does need to change.

I cant call this legal way. This is a cheat/exploit.
Achievements should not need such tricks to earn, neither this amount of gameplay.

Saving maps is legal and backing up your save games is legal and restore the save game is legal, all a person is doing is using items they earned over time which they had already which is as legal as it gets not that matters so much since it is a single player video game meant for personal fun and without fun whats the point? having fun has been the goal, that sure will not change.

This can be done in many games and is something many do and there is nothing wrong with doing so, anyway people can make it harder if they want but me i use any legal tricks i can to reach my reasonable goals i just wish the next update was out because i'm only using this time to try reach the goals for my last Achievements after all it is a video game.

I agree the Achievements should be easier to earn and no matter how you look at it when they reach a point of not being fun or take so much to earn, something does need to change at some point.

Update:
There are other games with Achievements that are just as bad as this which tells me it is not uncommon for such Achievements, Check out an game called "The Stanley Parable" it has an Achievement that takes 5 years to earn. check link below to see my personal Achievements oh though i did earn that one just by changing my windows clock for a min and run the game then change the clock back but not everyone knows that it works and just does not play the game for 5 years to earn it.

"Botton line is there is nothing wrong with it exploit or not, heck these kinda of exploit s or tricks are in the world of warcraft which is legal for the players to use and its all within the rules for this the world of warcraft and this game besides other games."

Legal or not it is an exploit for get your achi. You basicaly multiplier items for achi.
The problem is there, these achievements are insane, need silly amount of normal gametime to earn them. Also it is an illogical huge step after the previous achievements (like open 200 safes).

can you please explain how to backup my save and how to be able to go back to an "old save"
TheeMan Jun 15, 2020 @ 5:00pm
The savegame is at
C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\AldaGames\The Walking Zombie 2
All you have to do is backup your save game and when needed copy the backup files over to where the savegame goes and when it asks pick local save.

What i do is copy and paste the The Walking Zombie 2 folder from C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\AldaGames\The Walking Zombie 2
to a backup folder i create like "folder named backup 01" you may want to put it at another spot like C:\thewalkingzombie2\backup01 i also create a shortcut to C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\AldaGames\The Walking Zombie 2
so i can get there faster.

it is a good idea to backup all savegame files you wish to use later, me i got like i said more than 4, i used names for folders like backup 01, backup 02 and so on.
i try leave a text file inside the folder of each with info so i know what each one is like how much money i got and skills and such oh though i try to keep it simple.
