main stat

So I began this game recently and was wondering if my main stat also reduces the enemy stat of that kind. So does my main attribute Strength reduce the enemy strength? Or does it only scale my dmg?

Both. Theoretically, if you are a warrior and fight against a mage, you can increase your intelligence attribute a lot to suffer less damage from mages...practically, it does not make much sense as you should focus on raising your main attributes instead.

Int isnt my main stat when I am warrior ;D
What about my main stat? Does it also reduce?
I would think that all stats reduce the oponent ones but it doesnt say on the Str

"both" being the key word.
So if I face a dungeon enemy with twice my strength I do next to no dmg?
