Can't run game on Steam Deck - Easy AntiCheat fails to launch

Keen to play the game and bought it on sale.
Downloaded, installed and attempted to run the game - but all I get is the splash screen and the EAC saying:

Launch Error
Failed to load the anti-cheat module.
Exit

When I hit exit, the game exits as well.

Have attempted the following:
- Forced compatibility to previous versions
- Reverified files for Proton EasyAntiCheat Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime
(could not remove due to other games sharing content)
- Reverified Hell Is Others
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Hell is Others on main ssd and then microsd

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks and have a great New Year!

The perfect game for Steam Deck to relax on the couch, but you just can't run it on the console. Turn off this anti cheat already unnecessary
