So how to get the good ending (spoilers)?

I tried to explore the last area and accidentally beat the game. And your game deleted my save file with no permission when I did it (how should I know when the game like this ends lol?) For all I know it could be another psychological effect. you pulled one on the elevator

The only fork in the road that I noticed was the Roach Path (where your game would glitch out on me). I hope that is not where the dog is because then it does not make sense to delete a save file (cuz I did not make a wrong decision before saving).

How do I save the dog?

Feel free to spoil it, I am not even sure if I will play it twice.

Yes you have to go down the roach path and then another small area with new enemies. The ending has you climbing to the surface during the day time and finding your dog there. The ending text is different stating how you overcame your fears.

I'm thinking of adding more hints that the ladder at that part leads to the bad ending besides the dog barking from the tunnels like it does now. There are 4 endings btw.

Is it just me or you can only whistle when crouching?

I managed to stumble on the good ending in the first run. Got to that fork, went into one of the paths to look around and that was that lol. I have a feeling one of the endings involves having whatever item that weird tree thing holding out its hand for and item is. I found it, but didn't have the item to give it, but it was just before the exit to the "dog" ending.

The only thing that effects whistling is that you can't whistle while sprinting as it's hard to do in real life.
