I agree with this. Seeing uncaught errors on my screen is wildly distracting. idk why debug log would ever print, maybe its some setting dev would forget to turn off before publishing. But I'm gonna go look that up, not keep playing through it.
It can be done well though. I'm thinking specifically of Inscryption final boss -- the totally fake debug log spam as everything fell apart, textures load in and out, you're rapidly losing abilities and health -- there it adds so much drama and feels within game world.
And I liked the other trolls in the game. Here I would have.... changed the font??? not used the word Unity maybe reference a made up engine that came up somewhere else in the game?? Since everyone asked my expert opinion. Thank you
