Half of the time you're looking at a garbled mess of pixels with only a vague notion of what they're supposed to represent. All of the time you're fighting clunky controls. Interesting idea and stylization, but the execution is lacking.

It is very interesting but the controls are incredibly scuffed and frustrating and that's coming from someone who played the Blackthorne and the original Prince of Persia back in the day.

The gameplay controls exhibit an incredibly cumbersome nature, and despite my appreciation for the art style, it fails to deliver satisfactory visual clarity. The combat mechanics in the game are rather average, accompanied by an absence of a noteworthy soundtrack, at least from what I have experienced thus far. All in all, I cannot bring myself to recommend this game, not even if it were offered for free.

Tedious clunky gameplay and the sprites and general art are hard to look at. Don’t care for the world building either.

I wanted to like this game but I hate the delay controls and its feel janky too. Also the art style is cool but it becomes confusing and hard to understand whats going on.

The character control is very clumsy, and the graphics are too crappy. I know that they want to imitate the old school aesthetic, and in a way I like it, but it is exaggerated for a game today: you barely understand anything of what is happening. The controls never give you the feeling that you dominate the game, the controls dominate you.
I would love this game, but I cannot.

Flase advertising: it's not a remaster, it's not even a remake, this is the only time this game has ever been released. There is no original The Eternal Castle, this is the only version of it in existence.

The game is clearly inspired by old games like prince of persia, out of this world, and flashback (in other words, the cinematic platformer genre). But this is a game made in 2019, and 100% of the time I prefer playing any of the other 3 mentioned over this. Why? The worst controls a platformer can have. Sure the game is kinda aesthetic in the graphics but everything in the gameplay is terrible, it's a torture to play
