2024 - The death of skaterXL

With all the updates we were promised, but never got for SkaterXL in 2023, I think it's pretty safe to say that as soon as Skate. drops - noone will bother with this pile of garbage that is SkaterXL.

EasyDay studios is the gaming world pepto-bismal upset of the week.

At this point in time I would rather eat my own rear-end with a rusty spoon than ever installing SkaterXL again.

i did the play test of skate and i was not impressed. but its still early so maybe it will get better

Back in 2021 I said this game was a flop, and nobody believed me.

As a software developer I could see clearly that the game was going to remain in Early Access forever, the devs had taken the money and run.

Someone made some interesting skateboard control tech, which was cool, then they just... stopped giving a fekk when it came to actually fleshing it out into a game.

Lazy, money-grabbing company, all of them from management to actual developers. I have no respect for any of the people who worked on this game.

No, this game is not just flawed. This game is a cashgrab that still - to this day - lacks an insane amount of tricks that should have been in the game since release. The devs have left it for dead, we see updates for this pile of trash once every blue moon - and those updates are just the devs stealing what modders have made and making it look like they're actually doing something. Skater XL is worthless without mods. And I've been playing Apex Legends since it came out, both EA and free to play, and I've been enjoying that a hell of a lot more than Skater XL.. Sorry, Skater XXS - cos there ain't ♥♥♥♥ in it.

I have 564 hours in Skater XL right now and I still get enjoyment out of it. Extreme sports video games were really all I have ever cared about and this one has become special to me. That being said, I don't think there is much more to get out of this game. For the first time, I am tempted to buy Session. The mechanics and gravity look strange to me. Almost like that really bad X-Games street skating game lol.

Session is better now... grav slider is in game.... basically has nearly everything we wanted...
