Looking for a skateboarding game Session or Skater XL?

I wanna try a skateboard game out, but i dont wanna play Tony Hawk as they seem very arcady. Session and Skater XL however seem a little more grounded to what extent i dont know as ive not played them but the trailers make them seem a little more within the realm of reality. I see session has a lot of hate recently due to the project being "Abandoned" (correct me if i'm wrong) This game though seems to be more positively received it doesnt seem as realistic as Session from its trailers but its not over the top like Tony Hawk.

If anyone could give me some help id really appreciate it.

absolutely never Session. least fun skateboarding game ever made even once you get amazing at it. doing perfect lines still feels horrendous to do in your hands. everything is incredibly laggy, sloppy and janky.

if i had to choose from skaterxl and session i would pick session for console players and skaterxl for pc players just because of all the mods you can do to skaterxl on pc rather then console and session takes a little longer to get used to all of the binds and inputs and skaterxl is a little more beginner friendly and yes skaterxl has been basically abandoned but the devs but the modding community really helps out with what the actual easydaystudios couldnt and makes it a whole lot better so imo i would pick skaterxl just because of how much you can do to the game and how much you can add like maps and gear and really how easy it is to get used to simple and intermediate trick selections

me too and im loving it. actually very enjoyable.
