My shoes are red and blue. What do I do?
If your character has red and blue shoes and wish to remove them, follow these steps: Go to ‘Settings’ in the main menu and toggle ‘Controller Display’ to off. Alternatively, the colored shoes will be automatically removed from your character after the first hour of gameplay.

A challenge does not register even after I complete it. What do I do?
Some of the challenges can be sensitive to exactly how the player completes them in different ways. You might need to experiment a bit with how you complete the challenge. Note how the ghost player in the example completes the challenge as an example.

How do you do grabs?
Grabs in Skater XL can be performed at any time using LB/RB. Experiment with different hand positions and poses based on the board's angle. Grabs can be released independently with either or both hands, allowing for diverse combinations.
Grab the board at any time with LB / RB, including while riding, during manuals, grinds, power slides, mid-air, during flip tricks, during pop-outs and more. You can also hold grabs through transitions between these different game states. There are no constraints on when you can grab or when you need to release the grab.

Grab the board at any subtle angle you choose based on the angle of the board. There is a unique hand position and pose that will be created for any given board angle. Each hand can grab anywhere around the board including between-the-legs grabs, Seatbelts and Crails.

Grab and release the board with either or both hands independently to mix and combine different grabs.

Somehow my controls flipped and now all the inputs are backwards. How can I fix it?
It is likely that you switched your character’s stance inadvertently, thus the controls were swapped as well. To change back to your preferred stance in the Default build on Steam, press the ‘Select’ button. In the Public Beta Branch (0.3.0.0B), enter the Main Menu>Settings>Stance

My controller does not work in Skater XL but works in every other game. What do I do?
If your controller is not functioning in Skater XL on PC, try the following steps:

Ensure that only the controller you are using is plugged into your PC, disconnecting other USB devices.

If in Steam Big Picture mode, navigate to Settings -> Controller and enable the Generic Gamepad Configuration while disabling the “playstation configuration” and “xbox configuration” options.

If not in Big Picture mode, go to Steam -> Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Settings, and perform the same configuration adjustments.

I can't join multiplayer. What do I do?
To troubleshoot multiplayer issues, first, check your internet connection. On PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch, ensure that you are subscribed to the necessary services for online play.

My friend is playing on console, and I am on PC. We cannot join the same multiplayer room. What do we do?
Skater XL currently does not support crossplay multiplayer. Players on different platforms cannot join the same multiplayer room.

The latest update broke all my mods. What do I do?
To address broken mods after an update, ensure that you have the latest version of Unity mod manager. If the issue persists, some mods may need updates from their creators to be compatible with the latest version of the game.

Where can I find mods for Skater XL?
You can install a select group of curated mods without leaving the game by selecting "Mod Browser" in the main menu. Additionally, PC players can find a wider assortment of mods on the Skater XL page on the mod.io website ( https://mod.io/g/skaterxl )

I downloaded gear from the mod browser but can't find it in the Edit Skater menu. What do I do?
Depending on your internet speed, it may take a couple of minutes to download gear, longer for maps. Once you see the “Successfully Downloaded” message from mod.io, your gear will appear in the “Custom Gear” section of the “Edit Skater” menu. To access the “Custom Gear” section, use RB/LB to skip through the gear categories until you get to the custom sections

How can I get mod gear I created added to the Mod Browser for console?
We find a number of cool items every month to add to the browser at our discretion. To qualify for consideration they must be textures for existing meshes. Make sure they are free of anything copyrighted, objectionable or that does not fit with our “E” rating (no drugs, alcohol, foul language, brand logos, etc). The total package must be under 25mb. Make a listing and upload it to the Skater XL mod.io page.

My game is stuck on the start screen. What do I do?
Ensure that your PC meets the minimum requirements specified on the game page. If it does, try closing and reopening the Steam Client. If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

My PC has these specs. Can I run the game?
Check the recommended PC specs on the Steam game listing page. Ensure your PC meets at least the minimum requirements for a smooth gaming experience.

Can I play this on my Mac?
The game is not officially supported on Mac, even those running Bootcamp, although some users have been able to find ways to run it on low settings.

Can I play with a mouse and keyboard?
A controller is required to play Skater XL. Approved controllers are Xbox 360/One/S/X and PlayStation 3/4/5.

Where can I find information about recent updates, patch notes, and other happenings in the game?
Access the News Feed in the game’s main menu for information on recent updates, patch notes, and other events within Skater XL.

Why do you guys refuse to actually do any updates? Like I'd refund this game if I could with such little updated in the game, Skate by EA of all people is going to be better then this game and they aren't relying on the community to make content for them
