FIXED - game stops loading at 96%

For about 2-3 weeks now, games stops loading at 96%. Uninstalled the game, deleted any steamapps/common files, renamed SkaterXL documents to something else, tried Alpha/Beta/Normal, game still won't load.

For a game that literally barely gets any updates, I feel like the devs broke the game and don't want to fix it since Skate4 will most likely takeover SkaterXL and Session. How can you break a game if you only release 2-3 udpates/yearly?...

With +700hrs played, what a bummer to end it just because game won't even load anymore...

what are your pc specs? like motherboard, gpu, cpu, operating system

sometimes when i load skater xl it gets stuck loading, it works again when i close the game and launch it again

try reinstalling skater on a different hdd or ssd

I have a temporary method, check your game files, sometimes the game restarts....

I tried checking game files, still no luck. I read somewhere if i go in Offline mode it might work... didnt try it yet, I bought Session when it was at 20$ last year or so... first time playing it today.

I will try installing on different SSD. Specs are fine, +700hrs played so far.

Update:
-going offline didn't work
-installing to another SSD didn't work

I have now switched to Session. Also Milky has stopped posting videos from SkaterXL as well and is now doing Session videos.

I have finally found the fix.

1. Uninstall game and delete any leftover files from steamapps/common
2. Delete/rename any SkaterXL folder in My Documents
3. RESTART your computer. Very Important. (I unplugged my controller just in case.)
4. Install game as normal from Steam.
5. Game should work by now.
6. Install Unity Mod Manager
7. Install updated SoundMod. For me, the SoundMod seemed like it was preventing the game to load. SoundMod was recently updated to V1 to match 1.2.28V on SkaterXL.
8. DISABLE Antivirus
9. ADD steamapps/common/SkaterXL and MyDocuments/SkaterXL folder to your whitelist/"do not scan" folder in your antivirus.
10. Start Game and plug your controller.

If you follow these steps, game will work. I have been 3-4 weeks without SkaterXL having tried all combinations of fix, this is what worked for me.
