Controller Support XB1 and PS5 not working anymore. Wired, or Bluetooth

I've tried to use a ps5 controller, my XB1 controller also and nothing works anymore. i've checked my controller settings in Steam, as well as the controller support for the game and can't find any reason as to why it won't work. Testing controllers works in any other game in my Steam Library, but for some reason it just doesn't work anymore.

Same here. This has happened to me multiple times now, in the past I could get a fix when I would mess with controller settings in steam or by rebooting. Now it just doesn't work at all.

Is Skater XL still not working for most whom play this game?
My copy of skater xl , loads then gets stuck at 81%, then when it finally loads to his spawn spot my controller still isn't working . anyone with a resolve would be much appreciated. its been a week since i've played one of my favorite games.

Same this game was working then all of a sudden it stopped working. My Xbox controller works for every other game.

go to device manager and uninstall the drivers for all Human Interface Devices (HID) then restart.

this game for some reason thinks "gaming keyboards" are literally gaming controllers.

Wouldn't uninstalling HID drivers be the same as unplugging your keyboard before you launch skater xl? I'm not super savy with this just wondering.

I'm not entirely sure Delivery Boy, just sharing what's worked for others on the Skater XL Modding Discord and another post in this forum. I personally just switched over to a new cheap AF keyboard for the time being since SXL thinks gaming keyboards are controllers. Maybe Easy Day will fix it, but I highly doubt it given their current stance on the game.

Just figured it out. Device manager > human input devices > disable all HID > restart

i have that same keyboard is there a fix for it? my controller used to work but outta nowhere in feb it completley stopped working no matter what i do

No fix for me yet. disabling HID doesnt help me either unfortunately. super frustrating

Huh I have an anne pro 2 as well, tried starting the game with the keyboard unplugged and the controller works. I can then plug it in again and it still works fine. Seems starting the game with the keyboard plugged in stops the controller from working (doesn't change if I try to unplug it after starting)

Do you have more than one USB device plugged into your PC? If so, unplug everything except the controller that you are using to play the game with. This solves the issue in most cases.

It actually started working out of nowhere. keyboard is plugged in and everything. i dont have a fix but idk, it works now. hope everyone gets theirs sorted out as well
