Also for most PC players he was the single reason many people are/were still playing this game.
Yo, EasyDay, get over it and stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with your mod community if you fail to deliver all the great features that Dawg provides for us.
To make this clear: SXL is boring af without the mod community and they are probably the single reason this game had any success at all.
They should be paying the guy not making whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they doing now.
If not for DWG i wouldnt even have bought this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken game.
This guy is just not just implementing new features, hell is he also fixing his damn bugs. One man only? are we crazy or what's up?
It's like they did the bare minimum of life support and community outreach with trying to include gear mods and community maps and mp, but forgot they have the basics of a gameplay system that still needs a lot of fundamental work and improvements that matter a whole lot more. Had since it first launched in early access. Aside from some minor tweaks and additions (ex: powerslides), the only significant gameplay update since then was the transition patch prior to launch, and transition skating is still wonky as well and also needs a lot more love and attention. The rest of the game plays almost exactly as it did back in the earliest early access days, and that's insane.
Everyone should be dissatisfied with their personal output and updates post-launch, but since mods pulled up the slack most die-hard fans of the game didn't really care what EDS did (at least on PC) since they still had custom stats and gameplay mods. After this stunt, do they really have any goodwill remaining?
This is just another disappointment added to the pile. Skater XL had so much potential, but there's no denying it should still be in Early Access at this point. Although even if it were, I doubt they'd be doing anything to the core game mechanics. They tried to cash in way too soon and threw a beta onto a $40 retail disc for consoles, and the core game is still in the same beta state as it was in Early Access. That's what people should really be upset with them over, not this recent bs.
