Skate 3 Controls in Skater XL ???

i didn't try Skater XL yet because i bought Session instead (because of my friend), i was a HUGE fan of Skate 3 and there is a mode in Session that i LOVE, it's call ''Legacy Mode'' it's the same exact controls as Skate 3 !!! it makes the game a bit easier and i really love it !! i hope Skater XL will put a mode like this because in Session i really feel like i play Skate 3 again :) cmon guys put this mode in Skater XL <3

It takes about two minutes to understand the controls, mastering them though is what the game is about, wanting to use one stick for everything like they "tried" to do in Sessions ruins the gameplay man.

Just play the game and you will learn.

i tried two sticks in Session because i play since the very beginning and yeah i enjoyed it too it's fun, it's different, but i mean it can't be that bad to add this in Skater XL ? after all it's just a mode so if you don't want it just don't activate it, because 100% of casual players like me would love a ''legacy mode''. I understand what you're saying and i respect that and if they don't release a legacy mode i'll buy Skater XL anyway ahah i've been waiting for a skating game :)

You should leave skate3 behind and enjoy a better(imo) way to play a skateboarding game as SkaterXL proposes, sxl controls gives us the ability to put our own style to tricks

Played the ♥♥♥♥ out of Skate 1-3, as others said took me 30 mins to get used to XL controls and much prefer them, super satisfying.

Getting in to grinds is so nice with a stick per foot, being able to move the back foot in and drop the front for a smith is just a really nice feeling.

Game is a tech demo right now though and lacks a ton of what makes skating games so good (environment, characters, MUSIC!) Will have to see what the release brings

I heavily disagree with the comments regarding this game being a “better” experience than Skate 3. The controls in Skater XL are not intuitive. As someone who actually skateboards, I feel like the point of a skating game is for it to be easy and fun. To do ridiculous stuff on a skateboard you can’t do in real life. Making the controls harder and more “realistic” isn’t fun in my opinion. If I wanted a difficult skating experience…. I’d go outside and skateboard. If the controls were more like Skate 3 I would for sure play this game more. Instead it goes unplayed in my library.
