When you do a tailslide you have to push both sticks DOWN.
So... Depending on which end of the board you are sliding with, you'll need to release the truck analog and flick the foot analog to the right or left.
EXAMPLE: While doing a tailslide (both analogs DOWN) you'll need to RELEASE the RIGHT ANALOG and FLICK the LEFT ANALOG to the side (left or right) to do a kick or a heelflip.
There's really no secret to it. Just as you would flip it on flat ground.
Hope that helps.
I always push the sticks in opposing horizontal directions (LS: east, RS: west, feet go 90deg anticlockwise; LS: west, RS: east, feet go 90deg clockwise)
I would imagine that the way you are doing ends up looking like a board/lip slide but without the rail under the center of the board?
I hope I've made sense, sorry if it's difficult to understand, English is not my native language, but if you still have any questions feel free to ask!
The advice you gave me about flipping out is good though, it's just using the foot that's not currently pressing the board into the slide
At the very end of the slide (right before falling of the edge) you'll have to do a smooth "shuv it" motion with each stick (in opposite directions, of course) leading your board back to the original stance.
TRUST ME! lol I'll try to record it after work if you are not able to pull it off still, just give me a shout!
peace
to get a flip out with both sticks, just release them quickly and flick the board with the coresponding foot
you can also correct the boards position somewhat with the sticks afterwards but it takes a lot of pratice
Sorry, didn't understand exactly what you meant. If you just push the analog sticks horizontally like you were doing a board/lipslide, but end up landing a nose/tailslide it's looks fake as hell, because you are not putting enough pressure on the sliding end. It's just looks like some "physics- defiant" move where the center of your board is standing on some invisible rail. You need to turn your body, just a little to pull proper looking nose/tailslides in my experience (with the game and irl)
To do a nose or tail slide using the spin triggers you don't even have to press up or down on the sticks. Just roll up ollie and spin, making sure the landing is in the nose or tail slide position.
Nose slides skating regular for example, you can just roll up, ollie, trigger spin, land with nose on ledge and slide across, use trigger spin to come off at the desired angle. If you dont land perfect, dude may slip of the ledge. This is where pressing the up on the left stick to make dude lean into his front foot will better keep him from slipping of the ledge, pressing up makes him lock the nose slide in.
If you press up on both sticks dude will tweak the angle of the board into the nose a little more and apply more pressure. On a rail pressing both sticks up or down will produce an angled slide right between a tail/nose slide and a blunt slide. On a ledge pressing both sticks up or down will do an actuall blunt slide if you jump into blunt slide position. If you jump into nose slide position and press both sticks up you get more angle on your nose slide.
I just did nose, tail and blunt slides for like 20 minutes lol. This game is fun.
Also, I started trying to flip out from board/lip slides and realised how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard it was!
But I think I've figured out a way of doing them consistently!
As your analog sticks are already set to opposite sides (example: LS: < RS: > ) You just need to flick them horizontally to the other side (example: LS: > RS: < )
I found this to be the best way to kick/heelflip out of board/lip slides. It works 100% of the times but sometimes it doesn't look too good. There's examples in the videos! Hope it helps!
