Skater XL

Skater XL

60 FPS
No setting in nvidia control panel under virtual sync affects the game. It is as if it's stuck in windows mode with unlocked fps the entire time except for when the graphic setting is set to ultra.

What I have found works is using rivatuner. It still appears as if it's skipping frames and appears very choppy. Not your typical screen tear, but as if the game itself is lagging even though the fps stays locked at 120fps with no fluctuation.

It's a very unsmooth experience despite any efforts. I think true vsync would help and I tried d3overide but I couldn't find a usable release.

My card is a 750ti, and it has no problems with most games on low-high locked at 60fps or 120fps with or without vsync. This game, problems.

Im experiencing the same issue. Ive got a 1070, 144hz gsync monitor, and 6700k. Im using riva tuner to lock fps at 60 but im getting the same choppiness your describing. Hopefully the devs are aware of this and maybe theres a solution somewhere out there.

Setting scanline sync to 1 has helped the choppiness but the input lag is now unbearable. Can't win. Would prefer regular looking screen tear compared to this. Glad to hear even a 1070 is experiencing the issue and that it's not just my weaker card.

you try setting vsync in the nvidia control panel? im running it on ultra and its butter smooth 75fps on a 1060.

Some Unity games are not actually in fullscreen but more like a forced borderless windowed, this seems to be one of those situations since shadowplay only seems to work with it if you have desktop capture on. That's probably why it feels as though ti's inheriting the Windows settings.

you could uhhhh try actually just managing to play a video game at 60 frames like the rest of us

You are misunderstanding. No matter what FPS or graphic settings I choose it remains choppy. Whether I have it locked at 60 or 120 it does not matter. The smoothest experience is running on ultra with 50-60 fps but that is still choppy. None of my other games run choppy what-so-ever.

I have the same problem. Vsync for all graphics presets, that would be great. It's only playable on ultra settings, which has some framedrops from time to time. nvidia control panel forced settings don't work. I don't know if it's complicated to give the user some graphic options, but it would be a relief, cause this game is tons of fun :/

8600k R7370 runs like butter, I don't use any freesync/vsync and the last time I looked I was over 100 FPS stable while feeling like it as well. Some of the custom maps take a bigger toll on the performance, but Only a couple ran poorly for me.

I utilize MSI Afterburner which includes Riva, but I do not have any specific settings set other than a fan profile. I also utilize babbo settings and can play in the exclusive mode, fullscreen, windowed fullscreen and windowed.

the only way it can run smooth and the only way to get vsync enabled is running on ultra for me.

Running on ultra, very very smooth. I was having the same issue, but I've enable v-sync on the Radeon Software and in game. Now its amazing. I use a RX5070, I dont know to which NVidia it translates but it's not one of the strongest.

imagine have a 144hz and play at 60fps what a joke

I use scanline sync set to 1, and enable fast sync in NCP. This is the only way I can get smooth game play with my no adaptive sync TV.

I also noticed that sometimes I have to alt tab out and back into the game for the sync settings to apply. Once in a while the game will launch at 300fps and a few alt+tab seems to get fastvsync working again.

There was also a recent update that jacked up the cpu usage. Check task manager to make sure you are not running at 100%. Could be why your game is choppy. If anything starts up in the background (win updates/virus scans) while I'm playing the game turns into a slideshow. I'm running at i3 8300 and the game now uses 80% of my CPU regardless of graphics setting.
