Controls are broken when skating Goofy

I've noticed a weird bug where the left/right foot is only properly mapped when skating in Regular stance. If you skate Goofy you have to push up (instead of down) on the left stick to make your character ready up for an ollie? The game is acting like I'm still skating Regular when my stance has changed.

I skate Goofy in real life so it's really frustrating trying to untangle how I'm meant to do basic tricks with the controls messed up like this.

Anyone else spotted this or is it just me?

When you're loading into the map, press select (while your skater is stationary) to change stance. between regular/goofy - Still, when you're riding switch, the controls behave as you've mentioned (then it's right stick up for switch olli etc...)

If you're skating IRL, this can be irritating. I find myself playing the other skating sim way more, because one stick ollies/nollies just don't feel right.

Nevertheless, I'll continue to support BOTH titles/companies - each game has it's weak and strong points.

this isn't a bug, it's intentional. i go back and forth with whether i like it... i've gotten used to it though so it doesn't bother me. i just think it's added difficulty because switch is harder IRL so why not make it more difficult in game. by "goofy" you mean switch, right?

By "goofy" I mean right foot forward, which is my actual stance in real life. For me switch would be "regular" (in the way that being forced to write right handed might be weird for anyone who writes with their left hand).

This actually worked correctly when the game first launched, so I'm not entirely convinced it's an intentional choice, and if it is, it's a little unfortunate for anyone who skates goofy/right foot forward. The regular stance tricks are all mapped correctly, whereas skating in goofy, tricks for me were backwards (I had to pull up on the left stick to pop an ollie in goofy). This isn't how I would ollie in real life, so for anyone who's normal stance is goofy it's really difficult to play.

press select/back depending on what controller you use to change your skaters default stance.

it sounds like your default stance is still regular but youre just skating switch (by doing a 180 or rolling up a bank and coming back down the same way) so the controls will be the same as if you were skating regular since switch/fakie is just your regular stance but youre rolling backwards instead of forwards.

if you change your default stance to goofy the thumbstick controls will mirror and it will be down to ollie/up to nollie just as youre expecting.

its confusing AF if you dont really understand the nature of stance but that should explain how to get it back to the way you prefer it.

@StownieDaze yeah I knew about this - it's still broken. If I press select/back to change to goofy, the controls are still broken?

I wonder if it's just an obscure bug I've come across through using the BETA mode on the California Parks level. I'll try switching back to the standard Early Access version and see if it still happens.

ITT people that suck at the incredible controls that make this game significantly superior to Session. They aren't broken, you just don't get it still.

I get the controls (latest update seems to have fixed the bug I was encountering BTW, so they now work like everyone else says they do).

I've skated for 18 years, I know the different between goofy and regular...

OP, you need to change sticks. When skating goofy, you now do your pops on the right stick. Pressing up on the left stick is doing a nollie, not an ollie.
