Can't plant carrots in tutorial.

I always get the info bar "select hoe" and when I select E on the prepared soil to plant I can't select the carrot seed to plant.

I just bought the game and it's frustrating to see multiple posts about this, and not one response, almost 2 years later. Ugh.

for me none of the tree or crops appeared when i entered the game ;-;

I had the same bug too when I used my mouse and keyboard.
However, I was able to select and plant the carrots using a controller.
I hope that helps.

So I had this bug and I managed to plant them by pressing enter when i was on the screen that had the carrot seeds, I just ran my finger over all of the keys on the keyboard until something happened hopefully can help someone else in the future.
