I have a permanent pig on my boat

So, after doing Tilio's pig quest I now have a pig on my boat and doesn't leave. I arrive on my Home Island and there's no pop-up of farm animals or anything BUT it is there because when I leave the boat it's there on my way of getting out. (I have to jump in a certain angle to leave the boat)
