How to get quests items?
Dunno if that game is for me in the end, each time I get a fetch quest, I find myself coming to the forum to try and find how I am supposed to move further in the game.
I need to find a novel, but where?
I need to bring silver ingot, great, how do i find/make them?
I'm supposed to talk to the villagers, ok, well, the merchant at the market doesn't talk, the character at the north of the map (Onzo?) is not there, Brr hasn't anything left for me, and I need this novel and those ingots to progress further with other characters.

Onzo should stand in front of the ship-shaped market with the seller triplets at first. It's a bit confusing.

Nope, nobody there but the merchants and some NPCs.

So, i found out I need to mine those white nodes to get silver, but then I need a better hammer, and i have no idea how to get one.

I don't have the hammer yet either but my quest chains haven't come to a halt.

They did appear at the market after sleeping at the hotel... That's so intuitive... Morale of the story, one shouldn't try to save money by sleepin in the island or the boat.

I haven't used the hotel even once. I just might have passed out a couple times on that island due to having to run so much and no clue where to go. You wake up in front of the hotel if that happens.

The game doesn't tell you sometimes when you need to progress other quest lines in order to unlock tools necessary for the rest. It will only notify you when you can't even pick up a quest before continuing other quest line. If you're "stuck" you usually have to finish another quest.

I know your feelings! Stuck at the same situation. Can't find the novel and I can't sell items (because there is no help how you can switch between buying/selling). Can't find the novel either. The lack of information are so high I stopped playing yesterday. I waited for more than 1 year since I'm bought the game on kickstarter but I'm not sure if I like it to reach for answers every quest.

Well, like I thought, Onzo has the novel, the trick is in making onzo appear.
For buying selling, it's on the merchant UI, on the controller it's Y (xbox).

Well, now i'm stuck with the mushroom soup, in hours of playtime, I have only found 3 mushrrooms (1 of different type), i guess they only grow during rainy days, but I got only one in hours.

At some point I got so desperate that i simply spammed the sleep option, but the rain never came.
Most of the quests in that game are chores.

You should've used the rainy day, I got about 5 of each on 1 of them.

Yes, But at that time, i didn't know i would need mushrooms, nor did I know they only appeared during rainy days.
That's the actual problem, the other being I finally managed to trigger another rainy day, by spamming the sleep bed for 5 minutes straight... Not really my idea of fun.

it seems like the premise of this game is. if you can't so a quest do other peoples quest's that you can do, and you'll eventually get the tools you need for the former quest.

Just don't focus on one guys quest's

Well during my first rainy day I still had no way of leaving the island so I did what I could, forage. You explore that way and figure out things before you actually need them, I don't just follow the quests, I explore when I can on the first trip to whichever area.

@OMGbobo Thanks, that might be it.

I think it would have been nice if they made the town island rain and grow mushrooms too since you spend most of your time running around that island. I think it would have been more obvious if they did this. But so far the main town island has just been sunny, every day all day.
