Watering the plants

The well runs out of water after two buckets and now it says I need rainwater. Does this mean I have to wait for rainy weather? Is there any other way to get more water to water my plants daily? I build a second well but I can't build a well every two days, can I? Or do I really have to? 😂 Feeling a little stupid that I can't figure out what to do.

Water is not used for watering, it's a boost to growth, you don't need to water your plants so they don't die, instead it cuts off 1 day of growth.

Well if it follows the path of Deiland, then you'll be able to build a better well later(more storage), other than that, you're out of luck, unless you want to build infinite wells. lol

I built 3 wells and so far I have not had them all run dry before it rains again, assuming you only use 1 bucket a day.

1st store screenshot shows some kind of water irrigation system so I guess that's the thing we ultimately want.

After upgrading the hammer for the first time I got a recipe for big well, which probably has more water stored in it.

Quite a few days have passed now and it hasn't rained once :-/

i have 7 wells and i must say it rains quite often in my game, iv seen youtubers go for weeks with no rain and i kind feel bad for em ^^

Managed to build the 2nd well, and it has 10 water bucket worth of storage, so it's better than 3 regular wells. But it only gives 5 to total tree planted, whereas basic well gives 3. 3rd well brings the stored water to 15 uses and adds 10 to the tree counter.

It's been posted already, however, not everyone wants to rely on exploits to play the game.

it is not really an exploit though. i mean you could just collect the items and build another one... or, well, wait and hope for rain to fill it up.
the two i have are enough so far. but i also just played a few hours, so...

It kind of is, because you're getting free water, they should set it so a newly built well gets no water or have it be on a cooldown, to prevent this. But later when you get your hammer upgrades you can build wells with 10/15 water supplies, so small one becomes irrelevant.

I'm at least 30 days into the game, and it still hasn't rained, and my (first) wells have been dry all this time. This seems broken.

Is there something I'm supposed to be doing to get rain? I've been making offerings up on top of the hill to the two statues, and I left the last well I built unused. I'm not sure what else might be related?

Is rainfall truly just random? Are there hidden seasons I'm not seeing? Am I just unlucky? Is there some quest I missed?
