can't build bridge section

i am at the part where you have to build bridge sctions, however it keeps telling m not nough materials to start, despite me having plenty of 4x4 2x2 and 4x8 lumber. what am i missing?

A few days late, but here it is.
The stupid thing is that you need to have the material on your hotbar.
Just having them in your inventory is not enough.

wow!!! - just started playing this today and it's sooooo buggy!!!! I mean how do you miss this kind of basic issue in dev and leave it on release.

This doesn't work for me. I select the blueprint and have an outline of the first piece, but no dark grey starting point and I can't add anything to the blueprint - basically I can't build the bridge piece at all and it's a total game killer.

Really getting sick of seeing game after game being released in this kind of broken mess and it doesn't seem like I should be holding out any hope for the devs to make fixes either at this point. I'm just thankful i got this with gamepass and didn't have to pay for it on steam.

I think you need the 1" Paneel. The Quest for the machine you need to build, you'll get from Ash. If you click in your inventory the blueprint, wich you want to make, you can see what you need.
